23 February 2026 ORBITAL UAV SECURES INITIAL ENGINE UPGRADE ORDER FOR CLASS 3 UAV FLEET PERTH, AUSTRALIA: Orbital Corporation Ltd ACN 009 344 058 (‘Orbital UAV’ or ‘Company’) is pleased to announce that it has received an order valued at approximately A$475,000 from Textron Systems for the supply of an initial 25 power upgrade kits for the Textron Aerosonde 4.7 unmanned aerial vehicle currently in service with the US military. The Aerosonde 4.7 is a proven Group 3 UAV and is powered by an Orbital-designed 75HFE engine manufactured by Lycoming Engines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. The power upgrade kit utilises the patented Orbital FlexDT® technology and is designed to enhance performance, reliability and operational efficiency, providing a cost-effective pathway to extend engine life and improve operational capability. There are an estimated 1,350 of these engines that have been delivered into operational service globally, representing a substantial future revenue stream opportunity. Revenue from this initial order is expected to be recognised across the remainder of 2026, subject to delivery milestones. The Company continues to engage with Textron Systems regarding both the broader upgrade program across the existing fleet, as well as the opportunity to integrate an Orbital-manufactured 75cc engine into future new production orders for the Aerosonde 4.7 platform.
